"When I was a little girl, I spent time helping my grandmother in her garden. This was always a special time as she would laugh and tell me stories as we worked together. After we were done, we would pick a bouquet together to bring inside the house where we would sit and have fresh squeezed lemonade.
I decided I wanted a grandmother’s cottage garden when I bought my 1938 vintage house nine years ago. And then there was the question of who should I have design my garden? A friend gave me Rachel’s name and number. When we talked, I told her about my grandmother and her cottage garden. She asked me about the flowers in that garden. I told her about some of my favorites - the snap dragons, pansies, black-eyed susan’s, irises, and old-fashioned roses.
When she came over with a preliminary plan, I was amazed to see the care and attention she had put into the landscape plan for my yard. In the last five years, my front and back gardens have become such a source of inspiration, delight, and enjoyment for friends, family and me.
Rachel really listens to what is important to you to have in your garden and then offers ideas and suggestions that I had not even thought about. She offers year round service with her landscaping company so my front and back gardens always look wonderful. And the best part is I bring in fresh bouquets which fill my home with fragrance and a joie de vivre. Rachel has been given a special gift for landscape design and I feel privileged to know her both as a landscaper and a friend."
